On October 10, 2017, KACE announced the inaugural Early Voting Day for Bergen County, NJ.

Though New Jersey’s election laws do not allow for a formal early voting day, with the support of community organizations and Bergen County Clerk John Hogan, Bergen County voters can apply for a vote-by-mail ballot on the weekend before the election and submit the ballot right away on site.

Visit One Bergen County Plaza on Saturday, November 4th (9am – 1pm) or Sunday, November 5th (11am – 3pm) to cast your vote early! In order to vote in this election, whether early or on election day November 7th, you must be registered by October 17th and your address must be up to date.

For any voting and election-related questions, call KACE Voter Hotline at (347) 766-5223.

“Over the past decade, we saw an addition of 10,000 Korean American registered voters here in Bergen County. The Korean American voting bloc is now significant,” said County Clerk Hogan, adding that his office is pleased to help as many voters participate in the election as possible. “Since many Korean American voters can’t afford to find time on Election Day, we are optimistic that this would help boost electoral participation,” thanked President Dongchan Kim of KACE.

We appreciate the Clerk’s office for weekend hours and extra efforts to expand access to the poll site, as well as our community partners supporting our mission of active civic engagement. Special thanks to Korean American Association of New Jersey (KAANJ), Korean American Voters Association of Palisades Park, Nail Business Association of NJ, and Palisades Park Korean American Chamber of Commerce.
