On May 20th, 2017, KACE hosted the KAGC Regional Seminar in Seattle, Washington, in preparation for the 2017 Korean American Grassroots Conference (KAGC). In collaboration with the Korean American Coalition of Washington (KAC-WA), attendees explored the structure of the government, the Korean American identity, and discussed the importance of grassroots activism and community organization.

At the regional seminar, attendees engaged in a panel discussion with Senator Jeannie Danielle, Senator Mark Miloscia, Representative Paul Graves, and Representative Cindy Ryu. Through this discussion, attendees were provided with a framework and understanding around how the Korean American community can center front-line leadership.

Since 2014, the annual Korean American Grassroots Conference (KAGC) has attracted over 600 attendees from 20 states, joined by 18 members of Congress from both sides of the aisle in the Senate and House of Representatives. At each conference, the attending community leaders and activists have engaged over 200 congressional offices on issues pertinent to the Korean American community.
