On June 15 and June 16, 2017, KACE hosted the KAGC Regional Seminar in Houston, TX, in preparation for the 2017 Korean American Grassroots Conference (KAGC). In collaboration with the Korean American Association of Houston (KAAH), attendees discussed the importance of grassroots activism, explored methods of community organizing, and discussed ways in which community members can raise their political voice through electoral participation.

KACE’s regional seminars encourages the development of informed, responsible participation in civic life, and introduces practical tools for our community leaders to be actively engaged.

Since 2014, the annual Korean American Grassroots Conference (KAGC) has attracted over 600 attendees from 20 states, joined by 18 members of Congress from both sides of the aisle in the Senate and House of Representatives. At each conference, the attending community leaders and activists have engaged over 200 congressional offices on issues pertinent to the Korean American community.
