"This is the generation that more Korean Americans become elected officials and community leaders"

“This is the generation that more Korean Americans become elected officials and community leaders”

Our 2016 Grassroots Interns visited the Bergen County Plaza on August 15, 2016 and met with Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco. County Executive walked them through the structure and role of county government and applauded their active engagement. Commending their voter registration assistance of over 100 people within one month, County Executive encouraged them to keep up the good work: “this is the generation that more Korean Americans become elected officials and community leaders.”

After the meeting, KACE Grassroots Interns joined the celebration of the anniversary of the Korean Independence Day and met with Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. who fondly recalled his meeting with our students in Washington last month. We also thank Freeholder Steve Tanelli and Bergen County Freeholder Tracy Silna Zur for the support!
