On August 5th, 2014, the interns from the Asian Social Justice Program met with the “Comfort Women” survivors Ok-seon Lee and Il-chul Kang at a lecture held at the Kupferberg Holocaust Resource Center. This lecture has been held for the last three years, and the interns who presented this night were interns of the third session. The fourth session of the internship will be starting shortly.

Staffs of the House of Sharing including its director Shin Kwon Ahn, the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York, and the Korean American Family Service Center joined the occasion along with 200 attendees. Steve Cavallo, the artist behind the “Comfort Women” exhibition participated in the lecture as well.
