On May 29th, Korean American Civic Empowerment (KACE) held the H.R.1812 Information Session in Flushing KCS Hall. This information session was organized under the request of Korean American Association of Queens (KAAQ). KAAQ was able to gather about 700 signatures supporting the passage of H.R. 1812 in a short period of time. Korean American Society of Connecticut, Korean Veterans Association, other Korean community leaders and businessmen attended the session.
The information session lasted for about an hour. KAAQ President Paul Yoo explained the importance of the resolution and briefed on what the campaign has accomplished so far. KACE President Dongchan Kim educated the attendees about the background of the resolution and the positive effects the resolution will have on the Korean American community.

In order to participate in the H.R. 1812 Campaign, go to www.action.kace.org and sign up by putting down your name and home address. It is important to submit an accurate address because campaign members will receive petition letters to be sent to the assemblymen of their residential areas.
