On March 25, 2013, Korean American Civic Empowerment (KACE) delivered completed voter registration forms and vote-by-mail applications to the Bergen County Board of Elections,

On April 16th, 2013, fifteen towns in Bergen County will hold their school board elections. Some of the Korean-populated townships such as Palisades Park, Cliffside Park, Norwood, and Englewood are included as well. All other towns that are not holding elections in April will hold their school board elections in November.

These are the towns that will hold elections in April:
Cliffside Park, East Rutherford, Emerson, Englewood, Fairview, Garfield, Hackensack, Harrington Park, Midland Park, Norwood, Oakland, Palisades Park, Ramsey, Ridgewood, Woodridge

To be able to vote in the April elections, one must register to vote by 9AM, March 26th at the Bergen County Superintendent of Elections Office. The office is located at Room 308 in Bergen County Plaza, Hackensack (One Bergen County Plaza, Room 308, Hackensack, NJ 07601).

To vote in the April elections by mail, one must send the vote-by-mail application by April 9th or visit the Bergen County Clerk’s Office and submit the vote-by-mail application in person by 3PM, April 15th.

One can obtain voter registration forms and vote-by-mail forms at the Korean American Civic Empowerment website (www.us.kace.org).

KACE held a voter registration drive at the New Jersey Presbyterian Church and the Hope Presbyterian Church with the Church Council of New Jersey. KACE collected 18 new and change of address forms and 4 vote-by-mail applications.
