4.28-Bulkwang-630x480On April 28, 2013, Korean American Civic Empowerment (KACE) held a voter registration drive and distributed its 2013 Elections Pamphlets at the Bulkwang Zen Center.

Those who are over 18 years of age and are American citizens can register to vote, 21 days before an election at the latest. Voter registration needs to be completed only once. However, if one has moved in the past four years, an address change must be reported.

May 14th is the last day to register to vote in New Jersey before the June 4th Primary Election. On Saturday, May 4th, KACE will hold a voter registration drive at the Ridgefield H-Mart.

KACE collected ten new voter registrations and vote-by-mail applications. One Korean American thanked KACE and stated that she is registering 15 years after naturalization.
