Dongchan Kim, the President of KACE, said, “I hope the interns would actively participate in social as well as political civic empowerment through networking based on their similar experiences at KACE.”

One of the participating interns, Jisoo Park (Sophomore at Columbia), said “It was a good experience to connect the past interns with the present interns, not only for networking but also for knowing that there are many minds that are working toward the same goal and the betterment of the Korean Community.”

In the past 7 years, over 120 interns worked with KACE. KACE interns have achieved various accomplishments throughout the years. Starting from our basic voter registrations, writing voter documents in Korean, establishing Comfort women memorials,  to sending letters to federal governments concerning Comfort women, providing hotlines, and preparing US naturalization guides, KACE interns have contributed to the effort to empower the Korean American community.

KACE will continue its internship programs and reinforce its social networking and outreach methods to gather interns together to help the Korean American community.
