On May 26, 2013, Korean American Civic Empowerment (KACE) held its second voter registration and participation campaign at the Pilgrim Church in New Jersey.

According to KACE’s analysis of Korean American voters, less than half of the American citizens are registered to vote. KACE seeks to increase the voter registration and participation rate to 80% through voter registration and voter awareness campaigns.

Those who are over 18 years of age and are American citizens can register to vote, 21 days before an election at the latest. Voter registration needs to be completed only once. However, if one has moved in the past four years, an address change must be reported.

A total of 18 new voter registration forms and 17 vote-by-mail applications were collected. May 28th is the deadline for vote-by-mail applications. KACE also distributed 50 election pamphlets to the church members.
