On May 11, 2013, Korean American Civic Empowerment (KACE) held a voter registration drive and civic participation campaign at the H-Mart in Ridgefield, NJ. This was done three days prior to the voter registration deadline for primary elections in New Jersey.

The deadline for registering to vote for the 2013 NJ Primary Elections is May 14th. To register to vote, please print out a copy of the voter registration from our website (www.us.kace.org) and deliver it to the Bergen County Board of Elections office by 3PM, May 14th. The office is located at One Bergen County Plaza, Third Floor, Room 380, Hackensack, NJ 07601.

To help more Korean Americans register to vote and participate in the electoral process, KACE is distributing informational pamphlets and conducting campaigns in public places.

Those who are over 18 years of age and are American citizens can register to vote, 21 days before an election at the latest. Voter registration needs to be completed only once. However, if one has moved in the past four years, an address change must be reported.

A voter complained that not enough information was being circulated about upcoming elections and candidates. KACE provides assistance through its hotline (347-766-KACE / 201-488-4201).

KACE collected four voter registration forms and vote-by-mail applications, and distributed 30 pamphlets.
