KACE has been advocating the voting rights of Asian American community members. KACE specially works to mobilize, increase accessibility to polls, and educate community on how to exercise their voting rights. KACE combines all strategies including litigation, grassroots lobbying and community education to protect voting rights. KACE conducts year-round voter registration drives, get-out-the-vote campaigns, exit polls, and poll monitoring and a voter hot-line. In addition, KACE have conducted voter data analysis, redistricting for Asian American, and conducted Census 2000 & 2010 with US Census Bureau.

Voter Registrarion Drive

  • KACE has been conducting voter registration drives at a variety of venues including churches and community centers

  • KACE registered more than 25,000 new Korean voters in NY and NJ since 1996

  • Annually, KACE assists more than 1,200 voters to register, change address, change party affiliations, and check poll site locations



Community Education

  • KACE out-reaches and educate community members about local government and civic participation
  • Our main community education program is the “Civic Academy.”  KACE is also hosting a series of workshops such as candidate debates and presidential candidate surrogate forum.  KACE also publish election guide and newsletters for community education



Exit Polls & Poll Monitoring

  • Base KAVC addresses various acts of discrimination encountered at polling sites through exit polls and poll site monitoring
  • on the result of the monitoring, KACE contribute that NYC and NJ state to provide Korean translation regarding various vote activit




Hot-Line on Election Day 

  • KACE also operates a voter hot-line to immediately resolve any issues a voter may face at a poll site on an election day
  • KACE has served over 800 voters with this hot-line program
